Before the kids were born Matt and I had an ongoing argument about the colour our kids eyes would be. I used the scientific approach, pointing out that brown is the dominant gene and as such there was only a small chance they could have blue eyes and that would only be if I held a recessive gene. (Feel free to fall asleep at any point…I realise I am a geek when it comes to genetics). Matt’s argument was a little more straightforward….I’m telling you now, they will be blue. We waited and Georgia was born with blue eyes, as she would and eventually, they turned brown. Mwah ha ha, my dominant genes had conquered all. Matt graciously accepted defeat…that was, until the next time.
There’s no getting around it… THEY ARE BLUE.
