Today is Anzac (Australia & New Zealand Army Crops) Day. A day to reflect on the contribution made by past and present service men and women who have displayed great courage, discipline and self-sacrifice in choosing a life of service to their country.

In true Aussie style we marked the day with a BBQ at a friend’s house. For some reason Matt ended up being chief Barbie Master…

The kids enjoyed playing with their friends and chasing after Buster, the very cute pooch.

I realised today just how much Georgia and Marcus have grown up. As there were other children there they pretty much entertained themselves. I think I only assisted them in plating their food up and when they wanted a glass of water. ¬†When they don’t interrupt and are behaving well, I find it is easy to forget they are being good and not praise them. ¬†However when they misbehave it is of course brought to your attention to deal with and the danger is that you criticise too much and don’t praise enough. I must admit I have to remind myself to reward them for good behaviour. I do try to do this. I have always tried to do this but I do have to keep reminding myself.
