Today is Anzac (Australia & New Zealand Army Crops) Day. A day to reflect on the contribution made by past and present service men and women who have displayed great courage, discipline and self-sacrifice in choosing a life of service to their country.
In true Aussie style we marked the day with a BBQ at a friend’s house. For some reason Matt ended up being chief Barbie Master…
The kids enjoyed playing with their friends and chasing after Buster, the very cute pooch.
I realised today just how much Georgia and Marcus have grown up. As there were other children there they pretty much entertained themselves. I think I only assisted them in plating their food up and when they wanted a glass of water. When they don’t interrupt and are behaving well, I find it is easy to forget they are being good and not praise them. However when they misbehave it is of course brought to your attention to deal with and the danger is that you criticise too much and don’t praise enough. I must admit I have to remind myself to reward them for good behaviour. I do try to do this. I have always tried to do this but I do have to keep reminding myself.
